Catherine P. Benson

(nee Walz) Went to be with Jesus on October 24, 2023 of Sicklerville, formerly of Palmyra. Age 99. Beloved wife of the late David. Devoted mother of David Benson (the late Jenny), Deborah Harvey (the late Edward), James Benson, and Denise Rondeau (Steven). Loving grandmother of Christopher (Kim), Geoffrey (Denise), Jonathan (Hillary), Timothy (Andrea), David (Anna), Elisabeth, Edward, Kate (John), Sarah (Enrique), and Daniel. Proud great-grandmother of 15. Dear sister of Raymond Walz (the late Jeannine) and predeceased by 9. Loved by nieces and nephews.

Catherine was most recently living in Sicklerville, but spent much of her life in Palmyra, where she raised her family. Catherine was renowned for her kind and gentle nature, which endeared her to many. She was always welcoming to those around her and made holidays especially special for her family. She loved the beach, watching sunsets, walking along the riverbank in Palmyra, cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies, and listening to WIP Sports Radio. She was immensely proud of her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment she had with them.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday 10:30 – 11:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM.
