Carmen L. Rodriguez
(nee Martinez) On November 4, 2026. Age 92. Beloved wife of the late Sigfredo Rodriguez. Devoted mother of Susan Williams (John), Shelley Huff (Chuck) and Robert Rodriguez (Rosemary). Loving grandmother of Michael (Kristen), Dawn (Christopher), John (Aliyah), Marla (Rick), Mark (Brianna) and Chalie (Alexa). Proud great grandmother of MJ, Carter, Lola, Mariella, Grayson, Hailey, Cruze, Ryder, Lucy, Matthew, Bodie, Rhett, Ivy, Malia, Milo, and Chalie V.
Carmen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud G-mom whose life was centered around family, friendship, and making others feel welcome.
A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Carmen went on to build a beautiful life with her husband, whom she married on August 28, 1954. Together, they raised three children: Robert, Susan, and Shelley. Her family was always her greatest pride and joy.
Carmen dedicated 25 years of her working life to JCPenney, where she spent many years working hard and connecting with others.
Outside of work, Carmen found happiness in the simple things in life. She loved gardening and filling her surroundings with beautiful flowers. She had a special place in her heart for all her furry friends and enjoyed the companionship they brought into her life.
Carmen also loved cooking, especially Spanish food, and nothing made her happier than feeding the people she loved. Her home was a gathering place, especially on Sundays, when family would come together for dinner, laughter, and good memories.
More than anything, Carmen will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, her kindness, and the warmth she brought to those around her. She had a way of making people feel at home, and her love will live on through the family she raised, the friendships she cherished, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
Though she will be deeply missed, the love Carmen shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Thursday, November 12th, 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmen’s memory may be made to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter.
