I am thankful that I was able to research Aunt Bertha's ancestors all the way back to 17th century England. A remarkable journey in every way.
Peggy left a message on August 27, 2014:
Pat, no words can say how much I miss my sister. We had our moments, but she was always loved. Now with her gone, I miss her even more and talk with her daily in my thoughts. We never know what it's like without those we love, until it happens to us. Loosing a Mother is one of the most difficult. There is a long umbilical cord that never detaches. Mothers teach us so much, not possible to put it in words. Sisters are the glue that make us realize there is family even when all the others have left us. Myself, I had dinner in a dream last night with Grandmom and my sister. Funny how they come to us after they are gone. It's comforting. I know she is around watching, knowing my sorrows. It's not something we get over. Aunt Peg

Bertha, we miss seeing and talking with you on Sundays. Thankfully you were short enough that sitting behind you never blocked the pastors. Enjoy your new heavenly body and put in some good words for us.
