Janine Lorey left a message on July 21, 2021:
Barb was such a vital part of my childhood. My family spent a lot of time at her house playing with her four boys and eating her delicious cakes and goodies. I remember all the neighborhood moms sitting around her kitchen table drinking tea. She taught me how to play field hockey and other sports with her boys. I always remember her as such a vibrant and active person that was always fun to be around. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. To say goodbye to a mother and grandmother so soon is such a deep loss. Sending all my love and light to the Lanings.

Barb was my mentor in soo many ways. She showed me, without knowing, how to lovingly raise young children. Taught my husband and I how to handle a pop up trailer and then join them in Maryland/Virginia and Hershey Pa. on outrageously fun camping trips! She was an angel and can now fly freely in heaven!

What a great person! Gone way too soon Have such great memories of her. Going to the beach, helping her babysit, her famous grilled cheeses for lunch, walking to Manhattan bagels with the kids to get bagels for coffee/tea time. And her always being there when you needed a friend. ?❤️

Sending love, prayers and thoughts to all Barb’s family...wishing you peace and sending hugs. She was one of a kind...a true friend, and a piece of my heart is breaking. I am , however so thankful to have had her in my life. Memories of tea time and midnight cookie baking are etched in my soul as well as much, much more...to much to recount here. She was, is and always will be loved. I know she is now baking heavenly goodies. Me angel friend, I love and miss you.

Shawn Colan left a message on July 16, 2021:
I met Barb while she was bartending at the post. I ordered a Captain and coke. When she went pour the coke she asked if I wanted diet or regular? I said regular. Every time after that when she would pour my drink she would say diet right? Then she would laugh and give me regular. It's the little things that make people special. She had a ton of little things.
