Arescheril R. Joseph

On July 11, 2022, of Washington Twp. Age 92. Beloved husband of Metilda Joseph (nee Levillard). Devoted father of Antony Joseph (Deborah), Rose Doubell and John Joseph (Madeline). Loving grandfather of Tiara Sierra (Evan), Craig Joseph, Kelly Lee (Dane), Zhane Joseph and Priya Joseph. Proud great-grandfather of Hayden Lee, Talia Lee, Lylah Sierra and Ezra Lee. Dear brother of Lucy Das, Sosama Singh and Priscilla John.

Joseph was the fourth of eleven children. He was raised around amazing individuals who helped mold the person we all knew and loved. His father (Raphael) was a lawyer who did majority of pro bono work while his mother (Sabina) was a homemaker.

He found and married the love of his life, Metilda Joseph, at the age of 28. They had four children, but lost their first born, Richard, at 18 months old in a devastating tragedy.

Joseph worked as a diplomat for 30 years in the Ministry of External Affairs of India. He was stationed in Pakistan, Laos, Africa, Nepal and England. After his retirement in 1985, he moved with his family to the U.S.A.

Joseph was a spiritual man who followed the Word of God and instilled in his children, grandchildren and other family members the same faith. He was always active and loved cooking delicious meals. In the past 7 years he was taking care of his wife who was diagnosed with dementia.

He lived a beautiful and fulfilled life of 92 years, while also sharing 64 years of marriage with his beloved wife. His final words were “please take care of my Metty.”

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp., Friday 9:30 AM- 10:15 AM, Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd, Feasterville-Trevose, PA. Funeral Service Friday 10:30 AM, Assumption BVM Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
