Antoinette Iuvara, (nee Gigliotti) On February 9, 2021 of Berlin. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late John. Devoted mother of Genevieve Trombetta (the late Joseph), Salvatore Iuvara (Barbara), and Mary Meloni (Albert). Loving grandmother of Dawn Marie (Mike), Joseph (Amy), Nicole (Tony), and Danielle (Dan). Proud great-grandmother of Emma, Joseph, Grace, Mackenzie, and Jacob. Dear sister of Mary DiSipio (the late Nicholas) and the late Frank Gigliotti and Jennie Deliso.
Antoinette was grateful for all of the good times and life she had with her husband, John. They lived their life together to the fullest whether it was traveling together, parties with the Knights of Columbus or Cousins’ Club. Antoinette was the most loving and caring mother throughout her children’s lives. Always there to help whether it was a cooked meal, a delicious treat, her guidance, or a joke to lighten the mood. Cooking was her way of sharing her love with people, and she was known for her homemade macaroni, eggplant parmigiana, meatballs, and various cakes and cookies she made.
Antoinette was “Nanny” to just about everyone who knew her grandchildren. Her most cherished times were spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren taking trips to the beach, baking, family gatherings, pool parties or just enjoying a meal together. She was always the life of the party, dancing, sharing her one-liners and getting tipsy on a half of a glass of wine. She enjoyed going out with her sister and lady friends, playing cards, bingo, seeing shows and taking trips to the casinos.
Antoinette was very involved with church. Even when she could not go, she would watch mass on tv and prayed the rosary daily. Her faith was strong and she prayed for everyone, always.
Antoinette was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, Godmother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday 6:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 9:00-10:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM at St. Simon Stock Parish, Berlin. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
