I had the pleasure of caring for Ann Marie during her time at the Terraces. She was spunky, sweet, intelligent and so incredibly kind. I always enjoyed her stories and the way she’d light up when she talked about her travels with Dick and the beautiful family they raised together... She has truly left a mark and I will always remember her bright smile and how she gave every hug like it would be her last. My heart is with Dick, their daughter Anne Marie (who is also a neighbor and friend) and the rest of her loved ones as they all grieve this incredible loss....

Condolences to Julia and her family. From the wonderful stories we heard about Julia's grandma, Anne Marie, she sounded like a woman who will be sorely missed. All our love!
Tom Murray left a message on January 23, 2020:
Anne Marie Smith and her husband Dick introduced me to a world of books and music when we became their neighbors in Blackwood, NJ. It was at their home, likely at the time of a visit by their nephews Denny and Kenny Hassis, that I first listened to The Kingston Trio at the Hungry I--a live performance album that to me at the time opened the door to wit, sophistication, and folk music. And there were books. In time, or course, you became dear friends of my parents. Thanks, Anne Marie and Dick. You helped shape the course of a life. With loving memories and best wishes, Tom Murray
