Anita M. Oriente
(nee Melchiorre), On December 17, 2023, of Washington Twp. Age 82. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas F. Oriente, Jr. Devoted mother of Lori Campisano (Peter), Lisa Duerr (Ronald), Cindy Marino (Alfonso), and Gail Salamoni (Anthony). Loving grandmother of Nicholas (Lauren), Danielle (Joseph), Peter, Erica (Eric), Michael (Haley), Joseph, Daniel, Marissa Michelle, Jeffrey, and Julia. Proud great-grandmother of Anthony, Kaylee, Madison, Elaine, Matteo, and Gabrielle. Dear sister of the late Robert. Cherished sister-in-law of Madeline Lentine (Stephen), and Leslie Melchiorre.
Anita was born and raised in South Philadelphia and married her high school sweetheart Nick. She loved working in the nurse’s office, but her true passion was raising her family which included her four daughters. She was a wonderful daughter who cared for and adored her beloved mother. Her many interests included ceramics, puzzles, card games and bingo. She loved entertaining and spending time at the Jersey Shore. She moved to Florida where she enjoyed many gatherings with her cousins and friends. After moving back to New Jersey, she spent her last many years spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her proudest accomplishment was when she became Resident Ambassador at her home, The Terraces at Park Place, where she was very well cared for. She enjoyed all of the activities there and most importantly the friends who she cherished. She will truly be missed by her four loving daughters, son-in laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Sewell, NJ, 08080. Mass of Christian Burial. 11:15 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
