Angelo Joseph (Chippy) DiDonato

Of Washington Twp.  Born on July 31, 1937, passed on Friday April 3, 2026, peacefully surrounded by family. Age 88. Beloved husband of the late Margaret DiDonato(nee Jannetti).  Son of the late Carmen and Assunta DiDonato of Philadelphia.  Chippy is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chippy was born in South Philadelphia and lived on 7^th and Carpenter Street.  He was a member of the Philadelphia Carpenters Union Local 8 for many years.  After retiring from the union, he worked at the Sands Casino for over 20 years, ending his career as a Floor Casino Supervisor.

Margaret was the love of his life, they enjoyed going out, entertaining, going to the casino, and watching all the Philadelphia sports games, especially the Phillies.   Family was the most important thing to him, and he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by everyone as everyone who knew him called him “Uncle Chip”

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 8:30-10:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Washington Twp. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
