Tony, Myriam y familia. Esther receives my condolences, may the Lord give you the strength you need before Tía's departure, you cannot imagine the pain that seizes my heart because I loved Aunt Amelia very much. You don't know how sad I am, I was preparing a trip and this pandemic canceled everything. I wanted to enjoy Auntie, to be able to see her, and to share with you. But the Lord gave him rest and eternal life with him and with his uncle; there they are the two gathered. I have so many memories with Aunt Amelia, memories that will never go away from me, memories from my childhood until my old age, it seems that I listen to her and hear her smile. Because she always had a smile and love for everyone. My life was blessed to have her as aunt, wow !! She was great !! Take care of yourself Esther, here I am and I will always be there for you, Jorge, receive my condolences too. Remember that we are here for you

Our sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved mother, Amelia Diaz. We were so amazed to learn how brave she was to leave her family in Mexico at such a young age and come to the US. May her memory be for a blessing. Sandy and David

" MYRIAM MARIA TORRES "

I can’t begin to tell you what Amelia and Vincent meant to us. I couldn’t have asked for better grandparents for Shelby and Austin. God blessed us with many years with them. They nurtured and cared for our children as they were their own. They spent most holidays with us and were always there for us and us for them. Amelia used to play soccer with Austin in the garage with hockey sticks and a small ball and go to Austin’s soccer games. She’d go to Shelby’s Girl Scout outings and field days at school. Vincent picked them up from school when needed, we went to church with them every Sunday. Amelia and Vincent were both Shelby and Austin’s sponsors when they made their confirmation. Memories of Amelia and Vincent’s will live in all of us forever. They blessed us with Esther and Geogie to. Amelia, we will miss you and love you all the days of our lives. R.I.P Until we meet again. Love Bob, Cathie, Shelby and Austin

I was blessed to have Amelia in my life. She is an amazing, beautiful soul. My favorite memories were all their visits to NY on Christmas and our trips to Philly for Easter. My sister recently told me how lucky I was “I had the best godparents.” I surely did! The Miranda’s might disagree at times but the one constant is how much we love her wholeheartedly. She will be truly missed but I know she is reunited with Vicente and hanging out with my dad.

I have treasure trove of fond memories of our trips to Philly and later to NJ and our first mall! At first, there were only 4 of us but over time, the Miranda family grew into an unruly bunch of 8, and yet Amelia aka Comay would welcome us with open arms, love, joy and good food. One of my fondest memories was of the time she and Mami took us all (6 kids) to the drive-in to see Mary Poppins. What could they have been thinking? Comay and Mami had a great relationship and they enjoyed spending time together. I am glad that the last time we were together (at Mariel’s wedding) we shared a table and she Mami laughed and giggled like young girls while they sampled the wedding favors. I am so glad you touched my life Comay, thank you. Please say hello to Compay and Papi for me.

I will always cherish the memories, and they go back so far. I still remember the jacket she bought for me for Christmas so many years ago. She smiled when she recalled that I said, "I dreamt that you were going to bring me a jacket, and you did!" I remember how much she loved my family, and we loved her back just as much. My family's history will always include "Comay." Even my kids know her as "Comay." God bless, you, Comay. Give my love to Vicente and my dad. TQM
