On September 1, 2019 of Washington Twp. Age 88. Beloved husband of Dorothy C. (nee Hanzel). Devoted father of Vicky Will (Mike Kowalski), Lori Cole (Mike), Albert F. Will, Jr. (Kelly), David Will (Kathy) and Carolyn Avis (Mike). Loving grandfather of Tim, Stephanie, Alexis, Albert, III, Mary Margaret, Arline, Eli, Justin, Carolyn, David, Jr., Jack, Kerry, Noah, Emma and Jonah.

Al , a.k.a.Chopper, was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams. He served in the US Coast Guard and was a veteran of the Korean War. He then graduated from Duquesne University and spent his career working as a Certified Public Accountant as well as working in positions of financial leadership in the hospital industry. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball, leading Boy Scouts, umpiring Little League games, hiking and taking long walks. After retirement he enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, watching TV, and spending time with family and pets. He faithfully served The Church of the Holy Family (Sewell, NJ) as a member of the church choir.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 11th 10:00 am at The Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Inurnment will follow with Honors at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s memory may be made to the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.

Frank, Kelly and all of the Will children, The club joins in your sorrow, and wants each of you to know we are thinking of you today. Frank, while we never had the pleasure of meeting your amazing parents, we are forever grateful for what they did and all that they gave to bring such an amazing man in our lives. We hope your father finds peace and until we are all together again, may a God hold him in the palm of his hands.

Uncle Al, You were always such a kind man and in good spirits. I love you and will miss you dearly.

I first met Al in 1951 when I was ten years old. Al was in the Coast Guard and was dating my sister, Dorothy Hanzel. They married in 1956 and had 5 beautiful children. Al was immediately accepted into the family, as he was also a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. I take great comfort in knowing for sure that Al has joined the Steeler Nation in heaven with my husband, Rich, and Dot's and my father, Frank Hanzel. We will miss you, Al.
