Aaron Thomas Eastwood
Aaron T Eastwood, 87, of Washington Twp., went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Bobbie Jean (nee Dix). Devoted father of Donna Begolly (Dave), Gregory Eastwood, & Sheila Stanley (Tim). Loving grandfather of 11, the late Sean Eastwood, Josh Eastwood (Faiza), Scott Eastwood, Kyle Nelson, Sage Walter (Jack), Shae Begolly, Leah Berry (Kevin), Nina Polker (Evan), Dan Stanley (Julie), Kenny Stanley, & Kelly Stanley (Jesse). Proud great grandfather of Sean Jr., Liam, Chase, Wyatt, Silas, Hank, Landon, Summer, Nolan, Easton, Savanna, Scarlet, & Sonny. Loved by more extended family members & friends than can be numbered.
“Hank” (affectionate nickname), a “Southern Gentleman,” a “Gentle Giant,” a “Legendary Leader,” a man of “Grit & Grace”—all apt descriptions, attributes, & remembrances of friends & family over these past days. He was all of these and more. His life experiences included service as an 82nd Airborne paratrooper, a legendary and dedicated Superintendent for Neshaminy Constructors, an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, & semi-adopted Aruban. The most impactful part of his life, however, may have been his treasured childhood in Farmville, N.C. Those hard years of farming taught him from an early age the values that he held throughout his life; the values of working harder than anyone else, giving his time & energy to those he loved most, even after a full day of back-breaking work, intuitively seeing the best in others (especially his children), & a quiet faith that all would be well no matter the circumstance.
While none are “good” in God’s eyes, our dad was as close to it as you can get…on this side of Heaven. A gentle, kind, & loving spirit, he was the center of our universe. Our lives will never be the same without him.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday February 11th 9:00-10:30 at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Interment Gloucester County Veteran’s Cemetary, Williamstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Aaron’s memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or to St. John’s Church, 149 Ganttown Rd, Turnersville N.J.
