It will soon be 3 years since my big brother stepped into eternity. Miss him more every day. Ron and I thoroughly enjoyed his company in the 3 or 4 years prior to his death. He needed his family more than ever and we were happy to spend as much time as possible with him, laughing, visiting, doing puzzles, hitting Thrift Stores. There are still mornings when I wake up and realize he is gone, only to mourn all over again. He was my BIG brother after our Mom died, as I went off to college, when I got married, and into our Golden years. Will miss him until the day I die. I imagine him in Glory right now, telling jokes, being witty, and visiting with our Mom. Love you to the moon and back, Eddie!

Although I never meet Mr.Ed in person I did have the pleasure and experience of meeting him through the love and passion of the automotive world-Primarily AMC’s-At that point and time I had never purchased a vehicle on line-much less multiple states away but Ed really made it as painless as possible-even when the auto carrier that I had choosen practically run it off the trailer. I remember asking Ed on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best )what would he would rate the 77 AMX Hornet and he said a solid 8 to 8 plus-Man he hit it on the money -Gonna miss his wit-enthusiasm-and passion -but as to what I got to experience -it lives on.

Ed and I were friends for more than 50 years. We met when I was 16 while he and his sidekick, Joe Kelly (RIP) were promoting garage bands in the Philly area and they got a few gigs for my band. That was the beginning of a life long friendship. For several years we spent almost every Friday night playing poker with friends with stakes being nickel, dime and sometimes quarter if we got brave. I remember the races on front street where "Riz" would run his orange Javelin against all comers while I rode shotgun and came close to having to change pants on more than one occasion! And we spent a few years working for the same company, Atlantic Richfield on Passyunk Avenue in South Philly. He was Godfather to my oldest son Tom, and I am Godfather to his son Anthony. Eventually, Corporate America took my family away from the area and we rarely saw each other after that move but kept in touch with greeting cards and eventually social media. Rest in Peace my old friend. Patty and I extend our deepest sympathy to all of the Rizzo family and know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Tom DeScioli
