Warren S. Briggs
On October 17, 2019 of Woodbury, formerly of Washington Twp. Age 70. Beloved husband of Victoria B. (nee Ward). Devoted father of Jessica Sommerkamp (Jason), Stephen and Christopher Briggs. Loving grandfather of Benjamin, Maya, and Jayson. Loving son of Virginia (nee Stephens) and the late Warren Briggs. Dear brother of Rhonda and Susan Briggs.
Warren S Briggs spent much of his youth working on hot rods and on motorcycles. He served 3 years in Vietnam. He married and became an extremely devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is a retired Sergeant from Camden County Park Police. He was a homebody and to call him a minimalist is probably an understatement. He was a kind, simple, and selfless man. He was loyal to a fault at times. He loved his dogs and they loved him. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to talk radio. He had a love of firearms. He was an avid Constitutionalist. He passionately argued his political views at any opportunity that he was given. He was fascinated with alternative medicines and nutrition. He loved to watch the Eagles play, win or lose.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday 9:30-11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 am. Interment, Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
