Timothy J. O’Hara
On November 15, 2019 of Pitman. Age 62. Beloved husband of Frances Timothy. Loving son of James A. O’Hara and the late Helen G. (nee Player). Dear brother of Nancy Ford, Michael O’Hara, Jane Byrne, MaryBeth Centofante, Alice O’Boyle and Colleen O’Hara. Loved by many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. He was cherished Uncle Timmy to many.
What can we say about Timmy? His life experiences were as eclectic as the music he listened to, the jobs he’s held, and the various animals he saved. As a younger Tim, he began exploring the woods of Whitman Square, where he and his buddies would search for wild creatures. The numerous critters he brought home, didn’t compare to the one’s he attempted to save. As a teen-aged Tim, he broadened his adventurous spirit by listening to many unknown, up-coming musical artists in a variety of genres. He enthusiastically shared that wealth of discovery with any and all around him. His influence of music transcends generations. As he grew, so did his adventurous spirit. Whitman Square could no longer offer adequate adventures. So, with minimal resources, preparation, and cash, he started out on his walk-about across the U.S.A. On this journey, he encountered peaks and valleys; literally and figuratively, which we came to realize, how it truly mirrored his entire life. For those of us who knew Timmy, whether for a moment or a life-time, he was a friend to all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday 1:30-3:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Tim’s life will be celebrated at 3:30 pm with a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers and love offered by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim’s memory may be made to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 North Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312.
Please feel free to wear your best tie dye.
