On March 17, 2010, of West Berlin. Age 53. Beloved husband of Kathleen A. Devoted father of Thomas B. Ashmen, Jr. and Michelle, Jessica, Amber and Kenneth Joel Mercier. Loving grandfather of Trinity. Loving son of Marie nee Romano and the late Jack Gulli. Dear brother of Donna Jones, Robert Gulli, Judy Cristelli, Jack Gulli and the late James and Anthony Ashmen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tom was the heart and soul of his family, always making sure that everyone in the family was cared for. “Always loved, never forgotten.”

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday eve 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Tuesday 8:30 – 9:30 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville, NJ 08012. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at St. Simon Stock Parish, Berlin. Interment Berlin Cemetery, Berlin.

To Jesse & the whole Mercier & Ashmen family, I want you to know that my deepest sympathies & prayers are with you at this time. I remember so many times that we would drive Big Tom crazy in our high school years. He would always just give us that big smile & we would know that he would get over it soon & we werent in trouble. I wish we could go back to those days before pain ever touched our heart. Just know that we are praying for you! Love & miss you guys!

Tom seemed to always be there when you needed a helping hand. He was such an easy guy to like, we will truly miss him and wish his family much strength at this most difficult time.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

A shock! What a wonderful person has left this earth, way too soon. He was a giant pussy-cat who you had to love. Arnold and Sharon wish for you the strenth that will carry you through these difficut times.

Tom will be greatly missed. It was always comforting to be in his presence. God Bless.
