Raymond E. Weckerly, Sr. on March 2, 2018, of Washington Twp. Age 92. Beloved husband of the late Mary Schoch Weckerly (nee Carroll). Loving father of Philip Schoch (Pat), Raymond Weckerly, Jr., (Carol), Theresa DiMeo (Fred). Margaret Mary Cousins (Glenn) and Robert Weckerly. Devoted grandfather of Eric, Jared, Rachel, Daniel, Gina, and Christian. Dear great-grandfather of Ethan, Emily, Samantha and Alina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, March 8, 2018, 10:15 – 11:45 am at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 pm. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

Mr. Weckerly was a special neighbor and friend. He was respected for his kindness and patience, he was hardworking, compassionate and helpful. I remember him coming over to fix our old black and white television when it broke (several times!), getting it up and running until we finally got a color TV. He was always available to help whenever there was a need among the neighbors and often didn’t wait to be asked. When my father was sick he was available to assist my mother in many ways. Of course, I can’t help but remember the care he took of his home and yard. He had the best looking lawn on the block! I can still picture Robbie and him cutting the grass, raking and cleaning up, or working on some project in the garage. He was a wonderful and gracious man and he will be missed. Together he and Mary helped establish a true family with so many of the neighbors on Woodbrook Road. My sincerest sympathy to the Weckerly family.
