Pop pop Big bow was an amazing grandfather. Pop pop Big bow once gave me a baby blanket with a huge bow on it. Hence the name, pop pop big bow. I believe I was nine years old when I finally realized his real name was Marty. His larger than life persona and generosity of spirit made him a blast to be around. He was always the most animated person in the room and he knew how to make everyone feel included. I believe the key to his long life was the love he gave and received from his children and everyone he came into contact with. I can see and hear him in my mother's own laughter. I can truly say that I never heard a harsh word uttered by him, nor did I ever see him hurt another. Conversely, he was a joy to be around and you couldn't help but share in the laughter of whatever funny commentary he was partaking in. My only regret is that I didn't spend more time with him in my adult life. Still, my childhood memories are full of living memories of the time spent with him and Uncle Steve, Ronnie, and grandmom Angie. I delight in knowing that Grandmom Angie was there to great him. He will be forever remenbered and forever missed. Swift Journey to wondrous worlds, bright star! Love, Farrah
