Dear Mike and family,
How difficult this time must be and so sudden.
Mike and I send our sincere sympathy. We will keep you in our prayers.
I so enjoyed your mom at all the Notre Dame functions, she was vibrant, enjoyable to be around. We had so much fun.
Loved seeing the picture of you, Mike, your mom , Tom and I. Think it was freshman year??
Every human life is a spark of eternity. Who can measure the inspiring influence of one bright spark!!!

Julie, John & Mike, I'm so very sorry for your mom's passing. Her friendship and kindness towards me, will never be forgotten. Her love for you was immense. Many years may have passed, but I still remember our talks and about how she spoke in such a proud and loving way of all three of you. I admired her strength and the bond you all have as a family. She, unknowingly, was a great role model for me and helped in the way I choose to raise my family. My heart is heavy today. Your mother and father were very special people--I'm sure they are both together and looking over you today and always.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Mike & John: We are so sorry to hear about your mom. I think I enoyed her visits to ND almost as much as my own family. I recall your mom would always bring better food (don't tell my mom I said that). You guys always had such a strong sense of family which I really admired. I am sure Mrs. K had a lot to do with that. You all will be in my prayers as will the repose of her soul. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Seems like Our Lady orchestrated some Divine Intervention to have one of Mike's Notre Dame friends there on campus at ND during this sad news. I know Mrs. Kolnik will like knowing a candle was lit for her at the Grotto, a special place on a special campus that her sons Mike & John loved during their time there.
Julie, Johnny, and Michael,
My prayer for you is that some day, in the not-too-distant future, your heart will take you back to a happier time when your mom and dad were young and beautiful, and you were the cutest kids that ever lived. Amen. Aunt Marilynne
John, Julie and Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful neighbor and friend for all these years. You are all in my thoughts.

Julie, John and Michael,
My heart aches for you and your families. I loved Madalyn from the moment I met her because my cousin Johnny loved her and that was enough for me. If ever there was a match made in heaven it was your Mom and Dad. I brings a smile and peace in my heart to think of them together again --- young and in love. You are their treasures and they will always be with you. I know this is a time for tears but there will also be a time to laugh as you remember all the good things, the crazy things, the family things.
My prayers are with you.

Dear Julie, John, Michael, and Families,
I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She and your dad cared so much for each other. So much of who you are is due in a large part to her caring for all of you. I always enjoyed getting together with her whenever she visited. My love and prayers are with all of you. In the days to come know that you are surrounded with so many prayers and love.
Much love and peace,
Barbara McMillin
