On July 27, 2011 of Pennsauken. Age 69.
Survived by cousins, RoseMaria Gordon, Rocky Gordon and his nephew David Spaventa, many friends and family especially Joe, Linda, Vince, Dante and AL. After leaving the army he traveled the world citing Germany and Italy as his favorite stops.
He retired from the clothing industry in 1990 and became a freelance painter. He enjoyed red wine, Italian food, culture and history. He could be spotted daily at diners having coffee with friends. An avid fan of westerns, John Wayne and the military channel and the Phillies. On the night of his passing, he smiled when he heard that Chase Utley hit an inside the park home run. We will miss you always and life was better having you in it.

I GREW UP WITH AND WENT TO SCHOOL WITH JOE. ALL THE GUYS IN OUR OLD NEIGHBORHOOD IN SOUTH CAMDEN KNOW HIM AS JOE CANDO. COOL GUY. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN TOGETHER BACK IN THE 50'S AND 60'S. WE WILL MISS HIM.
