Joan Marie Storey

Passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born on November 18, 1931, to William and Rita (Hurley) Mischler. Joan was known for her fierce love and was a deeply devoted anchor for her ten children and their families. Her happiest moments were spent enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joan’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her lasting commitment to serving others. She carried a quiet zest for life and adventure—shared in stories of her childhood in  Wildwood NJ, and in the constant encouragement to embrace life fully.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel Joseph Storey. Devoted mother of Daniel Storey (Susan), Joan Twomey (Joseph), Sean Storey (Paula), Kevin Storey (Jacqueline), Mary Sochacki (Kurt), Patrick Storey (Mary), Anne Paul (Neal), Terrence Storey (Whitnie), the late Marie Bernadette Guy (Steve)  and the late Margaret Mary Storey. Loving grandmother of 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of  Maureen, her brothers Bill and Joe and her late sisters Margaret, Patricia and Judy.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Washington Township, at 11:00 a.m – 12:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at noon.
