My deepest condolences to your family. I remember Joan from when I was a boy and Maria was in diapers. She was a wonderful person and always so kind to me. My mom thought the world of her.

God used Joan to teach, encourage and build up. She did exactly that for me. She was beautiful. I am grateful for the time with her. And I look forward to praising God again with her again one day! Becca Lim

Joan was a very gracious, elegant lady. She loved the Lord with all her heart and served him. I'm sure she is at peace with Jesus. She will be missed. My deepest sympathy to Maria, Anthony, Sr. and Anthony, Jr. and his family.

I was too heartbroken to speak before. Joan was/is my sister. We were best friends when we were little. Our relationship changed when she became a teen sister as many of you know with siblings. She started asking me questions about Jesus when we became adults and I would give her Christian books to read. She finally chose Jesus as her Savior and again we became best friends. She was very involved in her faith and her church. She wanted everyone to know her Lord and prayed for all who needed help. We had a standing phone appointment every Friday because we had moved away. I will miss her so much but I am happy that she is now experiencing abundant life and we will be experiencing it together some day along with our loved ones. Pat Coffee Doran. Thank you all for loving her too.

Maria, no one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. But take comfort in knowing that your Mother is now resting in the arms of our Lord. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Linda Kilpatrick Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles. ( Psalm 119:50)

Joan was a dear friend to me for over 40 years. She loved the Lord with all her heart. For many years she led Children's Church and taught the youngsters about Jesus. If you told her about a problem, she went home and was down on her knees praying. She is surely up in Heaven sitting by our Savior's side. My love & prayers go out to Tony, Maria & Tony Jr. and her family. She will really be missed. We love you Joan!

I am saddened to hear about this. I remember Joan(well back in Sunday school days, the 80's, it was Mrs. Tropiano) her teaching us the love of God. She had a real connection to teaching the children, like me, all about God, his love for us, Noah, Moses, and all the great stories of the bible. I couldn't wait to go to class on Sunday. She was a very loving ,caring person. Heaven is now better place with her presence. Everyone that knew Joan, knows she is smiling down at us singing, one of my childhood favorites, "This is the day that the lord has made" tambourine in hand. She will forever be missed.

Although I am sad, I am joyful. My memory of Mrs tropiano goes way back to a child. I cannot count how many times she prayed with me for my mother being sick. She loved unconditionally. My heart aches but I know for a fact she is in heaven pain free and singing with my mom. I love you Mrs tropiano and you will be in my heart forever. My deepest condolences to you Mr tropiano, and the rest of the family. I pray you all have peace. I love you all.

"This is the day that the Lord hath made!" Holy cow, my family and I just heard the news and are shocked and heart broken. I remember Mrs. Tropiano from when she was me and my sister's Junior Church teacher at the Woodbury Church of the Nazarene. Looking back she was unbelievably patient with all us preteens/teens and a fine teacher of the word. I will never forget her and be forever thankful for God placing her in my life as a kid. She was also a good friend of my mother (Loretta) and my father always enjoyed the company of Joan and her husband at our church picnics at Village Dock. My God continue to bless her soul and the souls of her family. With our deepest condolences to Tony Sr., Tony Jr. and of course Maria from David Don English and the entire English family (Dave, Loretta, and Lori).
