My deepest sympathies to the whole Holland family for your loss. Mr. Holland was always so nice whenever the occasional ball or frisbee would fly over the fence into the yard or whenever I would stop up to visit my mom at the beauty shop after school. May he rest in peace! Jennifer Myers

What can you say about someone who has been in your life for forty years, or how do you express how someone has effected your life. My father-in-law reminded of a gentle giant. My father in law was a very quiet man, he didn't have a lot to say but what he said you heard. He always made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. He enjoyed his movies, his favorite actor was John Wayne, he loved every movie he ever made, but what I remember most was he abousolutly loved his wife and family. They were always the most important thing in his life. I don't think there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them. He loved his grandchildren and his great grandchildren and they loved him, he will be greatly and heartfully missed. I know him and Mom (Joan) are enjoying a long overdue cup of coffee. Gregory and I will forever love and miss you Dad. Love always, Me

Over the years I cared for both Joan and James Holland. They were very nice people. I know that James suffered all too much in his final years. I tried to make them more comfortable. I hope they will be reunited in heaven. My condolences to the entire Holland family. Dr. Robert Schwartz
