Diane. You were a wonderful friend for more than 30 years since we began teaching together right up through our years of retirement. We shared so many special times, dinners, outings, vacations, and our memorable cruise. I will remember you and miss you always and mourn the loss of my special friend.
My sympathy and condolence to Melissa, Jessica, Adrianna, your mother, and your sisters. Love you, Diane. RIP.
Diane, I'm very to blessed to have known you. Your sense of humor is one of a kind and I love the way you think. I'm always going to treasure the times you came over to my mom's house for dinner and we would joke and laugh and laugh some more.
Diane was the big sister I never had! I will always miss her. She always put her family in front of herself.

Diane was not only a colleague but a good friend. For over 20 years we shared laughs in the classroom and in our personal lives. From trips to Vermont to the Poconos to the Jersey shore. My thoughts and prayers are with her girls and her sisters. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Diane was a close colleague as we journeyed through 35 years of teaching at Hurffville
Elementary. As an educator, Diane enjoyed the individualities of her students and strived
to instil the love of learning in each of them. Her out going personality enabled her to not only embrace her students but all the staff at Hurffville. It was natural for our working relationship to evolve into a close personal friendship. Through the years we enjoyed many lively excursions , celebrated our children's milestones, supported each other through personal challenges, and had many interesting debates over district policies and political views. Diane's charm and quick wit could turn a tense situation into fits of laughter. She was that type of person that could see through you and still enjoy the show. I will forever celebrate Diane being a part of my life. My thoughts and prayers
are with Melissa, Jessica and Adrianna during this difficult time. My hope is that very
soon the warm and loving memories they have of their dear mother will help to lighten
their heavy hearts.

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
Rest in peace Diane.
I had the pleasure of working with Diane at Hurffville and she was such a nurturing and compassionate teacher! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. God bless!
I was blessed to know Diane for years. First as a student at Hurffville and then later as her colleague. My heart feels heavy. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

Earth has lost and Heaven has gained another Angel. Rest in peace, Diane. I will miss you.
Diane was a terrific co-worker and a dear friend. I am so saddened by her passing. I will miss her so much but I feel such sorrow for Melissa &Jessica who have lost a loving mother and Adrianna who only had her grandma in her life for such a short amount of time. My prayers go to Diane's family and friends at this very sad time.
You were always such a beautiful person Diane and I'm so happy we got to spend some time together recently.
Aunt Diane, you were a wonderful and loving aunt to me and my family. I know you will be watching over your girls and your beautiful grandbaby. You will be missed. Love you, always. PS, if you see my dad in heaven, please give him a kiss for me. Love you both.
This is a beautiful picture of Aunt Diane. Beautiful smile and spirit. You will be missed.
I came to know Diane when I started working at Hurffville School in 1992 and knew right away that she was a special person, who not only was a talented teacher who cared about her students but also a devoted friend who cared about her Hurffville family. On top of that she was always "fun," with a quick wit and great sense of humor, which made her a pleasure to be around. Since I have retired, I got to see her several times on my visits to NJ or her visits to me in South Carolina, and we always had so much fun. I feel fortunate to have those memories and she will be missed greatly. I wish her family strength to get through this difficult time and know that they have their own beautiful memories of the wonderful person she was to all. Rest in Peace my friend. Love Adele Cathrall
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. So sorry for your loss.
Even though we haven't seen each other often, I always remember you fondly. I have wonderful memories of our childhood and our crazy family. Cousins are our first friends. I will see you again Diane

A LETTER TO MY SISTER!! You were born in a Leap Year (1952). I remember how happy I was to have a little sister, who was always called "Diane" instead of "Diana" your given name. You were Daddy's little girl! As they say "The Apple of his eye". I was Mommy's girl; so it was always fair. As we grew up; you were "The Pretty sister & I was the sister with the Personality". We laughed about that because people thought we looked alike. When you were 5 & I was 10; we lost our mother, Anna. Sadly, you didn't remember her. Even with my stories; you had no remembrance. Dad remarried. We now had a new Mom, "Ida". We were then blessed to have 2 more sisters. "Our Little Sisters". Better known as A-B-C-D & "THE PESCE GIRLS". We all had different personalities!! You were the "Peacemaker". I was so proud to have a sister who was an excellent teacher. I remember you having a student in the early 1980s with Asperger's. You researched all you could to assist this student. Your compassion for all your students was exceptional! You were the most loving, giving Mother, Grandmother & Sister. You gave unconditionally! You had so much more to live for on this earth. But, God had other plans for you. I know you will watch over us and guide your children through life. I will miss you terribly knowing I can no longer pick up the phone to hear your voice. You are in my daily thoughts and prayers! I hope you are on a Beach in God's Heaven looking at a Beautiful Sunset giving you the Peace you always desired. I Love you! Angela
I feel honored to have worked with Diane for many years at Hurffville School. She was both a caring teacher and colleague. We shared many good times together. Diane could always lighten a situation with her wit and humor. She loved her girls Melissa, Jessica, and Andrianna. She certainly touched many lives and her spirit will live on through her family and friends. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Cindy and all of Diane's family,
I am terribly saddened to hear of Diane's passing. She was a wonderful woman, mother and teacher. Both of my children had the good fortune of having her as their third grade teacher and they have so many fond memories of her class. I got to know Diane from being her "room mom" and through the PTO. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that in time your heart will heal and allow you to enjoy your many wonderful memories of her. Rest in Peace Diane.

I was a high school classmate. I remember her well. Always a sweet person; very smart. Deepest sympathies to Diane's family and condolences for their loss. Too young, too young. God bless her soul and give her peace, now and through eternity.

Ms. Hills was my son's 3rd grade teacher. It was Ms.Hill's last year. We both remember her as a caring and intelligent teacher. She encouraged her students to reach for the stars. She took her job seriously and she cared for her students as they were her own. Ms. Hills will be missed!
Diane was one of our daughters favorite third grade teachers at Hurffville Elementary School. She would come home each day with excitement telling me all about her fun day at school with Mrs. Hills and her pretty nails. It was not the things Mrs. Hills said or what she taught her it was how she made her feel each and every day, wanting to go to school and learn:) My daughter wants to express her sympathy to the entire family as well as my husband who grew up 2 doors down from Diane and her sisters in the Birches. Our family sends our deepest condolences to everyone at this difficult time.
Prayers of healing~ love, The Cascio Family

I was fortunate enough to work with Diane as a first year elementary school teacher...Diane was the one who I went to with questions or just to talk. Lucky for me a friendship blossomed and she was by my side for the many years we worked together in 3rd grade. I will miss our fun times and hopefully Addy will always remember her Di Di.

My son had Mrs. Hills as his 3rd grade teacher 9 years ago at Hurffville School she was a great teacher May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family
Diane,
I hope you knew how much I love you, how much I cared, how much I appreciated you welcoming me into your home and every family function for the last 23 years. I endearingly referred to myself on occasion during "our talks" as your "red headed step child". We always laughed when I said that.
You were a wonderful woman, an amazing educator and a great Mom/Mom-Mom. I will never forget my favorite memory with you when we (myself, you and Jessie) all had to take turns holding Melissa's legs up while she was in labor with Adrianna. Jess and I were laughing so hard but you kept serious and coached Melissa through. I know you weren't sure if you would be able to keep it together that day in the OR during her C-section so I went in for you. I hope you know that the first thing our girl said was, "I want my Mommy." My touch wasn't the same as yours. Your soft hands on her forehead have always been something Melissa loved.
I made you a promise on Christmas night before you went with the EMT's, that I would take care of the girls. I intend to keep that promise for the rest of my life. I hope you rest in peace knowing that your girls have 3 amazing Aunts and extended family as well as an army of fiercely protective friends. They girls will come through this as stronger women who have learned just how short but beautiful life really is. And they will go on in life knowing always how fiercely you loved them. Rest in peace, Di. I love you and miss you so so much.
I remember when Diane started teaching at Grenloch, the bright young teacher in 3rd grade, Miss Pesche. She was loved by her students then, and that continued at Hurffville. I so enjoyed working with Diane, she had a quick wit, and a loving heart. I know she will be missed by family and friends. My life is better for having known you. Shirley Beleff
I met Diane the first day of Freshman year at WTHS and we became instant friends. We worked together at Haines Dairy Bar and the golf course snack bar, took Barbara and Cindi trick or treating, we attended the prom together and went to Atlantic City with our dates the next day. We attended GCCC together and sadly lost touch after that. I have the fondest memories of her - she was so smart and cared deeply for everyone, I'll always remember her lime green Duster and the fun times we had riding around in it. I was so saddened to learn of her passing. My sincere sympathy to Ida, her sisters, her daughters and granddaughter. I'm sure she is with God smiling down on all of you. Rest in peace, Diane - I'll always remember you and the beautiful person you were.
