Delores S. Beard

June 22 1957 – February 3 2026

Delores Suzanne Beard, age 68, passed away on February 3, 2026

She was predeceased by her beloved parents William and Betty Beard (née Cobb). She is survived by her siblings, Barbara Gattinella (James), William Beard (Claire), Michael Beard, and Maureen Smith (Mark). Dear Aunt of Vanessa Gattinella (Peter Ceretti), Vincent Gattinella (Amanda), Amanda Beard, Jacqueline Smith (Matthew Guyader), Julia Smith, and Joseph Smith. Dear Great Aunt of Evelyn, Emilia, and Luca. Longtime friend of Andrew Knox and Valerie McKinney.

Delores was a graduate of Washington Township High School Class of 1975. She attended nearly all of her class reunions, including last year’s 50th reunion, where she enjoyed catching up with her classmates. She graduated from Stockton State College (now Stockton University) After college, Delores worked at several companies in the South Jersey area as an Asbestos Analyst.

Delores enjoyed volunteering for organizations and groups that encouraged children’s creativity and showcased their talents.  She was a judge at the Jersey Shore Science Fair hosted by Stockton University, for over 25 years. She held various positions with The Junior Starliters Children’s Theater Program, and assisted with holiday Children’s Pageants at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Pitman, NJ.

Delores, reliably, celebrated her many family and friends’ birthdays and other occasions with a greeting card to note the special day. She was an avid reader of Science Fiction.

A memorial service to celebrate Delores will be held at a later date. The family will share details once they are finalized.
