Charles W. Bogert
On December 2, 2019, of Washington Twp. Age 66. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Ezzo). Devoted father of Evelyn Reebenaker and her husband Erik whom Charles thought of as a son. Loving grandfather of Erik, Jr., Olivia, Sarah and Julian. Dear Brother of Patricia Gellings and Mark Warren.
Bill is the guy who died with the most cars. He enjoyed car shows and events with good friends and especially spending good times with his brother. When he wasn’t busy in the garage, he enjoyed playing fetch and walking with his black lab. He loved traveling with his wife of 48 years and made many memories in Stone Harbor. He always made time to enjoy Sunday dinners and summer vacations with his kids and grandkids. And as everyone knows you would never catch him without his large glass of Chardonnay.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Saturday 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 17 Pompton Ave., Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442.
There will be a visitation Sunday 11:30 AM-12:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 12:30 PM at the funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles’ memory may be made to the Elk’s Lodge, 15 Perrin Ave., Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442.

Clearly, years and miles gave me few chances to see many of my PLHS classmates, but I can say that each time I saw Billy, he always had a great big smile and a warm welcome waiting for me. That picture of Billy is exactly how I will remember him. Always with a smile and a laugh. The laugh got louder with more wine and made me laugh with him. He seemed to always enjoy the moment. Out of all the places I've been, he really was one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
