Barry L. Walter, Sr.

October 29, 1941 - January 11, 2021

Up until his retirement, Barry was a small business owner, operating his own Upholstery business in Washington Township. Most recently, Barry was employed by Lilliston Ford in Vineland, NJ shuttling new vehicles up and down the east coast.

Anyone who knew Barry was well aware he was a “Ford Guy” through and through. He relished in his personal vehicles, keeping them in pristine condition as if they just rolled off of the assembly line. He knew immediately when something was wrong and would not be satisfied until it was just right.

He loved spending time with his friends in Florida as well as at the Marina in Atlantic City. He also enjoyed dinners with his friends at the Crab Trap in Somers Point, as well as a day at the horse track with his buddies. He was a jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn’t fix and his kids will attest to that.

He was a loving and supportive father as well as a devoted friend. He was always there whenever you needed him, no matter the time or place. He was a loving grandfather who was extremely proud of all three of his grandchildren.

Barry will be deeply missed by everyone he knew. There will be a permanent void in their lives without him. Rest in peace dad. We love you!

Barry and my father were old friends. I’ve known Barry since I was a little girl and he was the kindest man I’ve ever known. He visited my father regularly during an extended hospital stay, he was a bright and reassuring light during a dark time. He was truly a good man, and he’ll be missed.

I just found out about losing Barry, he has been a regular at my job for over 5 years and we all loved him so very much... My heart brakes!! He was always a bright light when he'd come in and talk for awhile, makes us laugh and appreciated!! Thank you Barry, you will be missed so very much...
