Alphonse Stalfiere
On September 28, 2025, of Atco. Age 82. Beloved husband of Josephine “Sissie” (nee Alotto). Devoted father of Denise Esposito (the late Michael), Gina Turchi (Ronald), and the late Alphonse Stalfiere. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Diane Stalfiere. Loving grandfather of Amanda, Gianna, Danielle, Nicholas, and Ava. Dear brother of Frank Stalfiere and the late Marie Wilhelm.
Alphonse A. Stalfiere was born on July 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pa. He grew up among family and friends on Hicks Street and later moved to NJ. He met his loving wife Josephine in 1961, and married on May 11, 1963. Together they had three beautiful children: Denise, Alphonse, and Gina. Alphonse and Josephine were soulmates. He worked hard to take care of his family and loved his wife, children, and grandchildren more than anything. For 23 years Alphonse worked in a fibroglass company as a forklift operator and later worked as a custodian in the Washington Twp School District and at GCIT.
Alphonse was an amazing man with a heart of gold. He never wanted to see anyone on the street and suffering. His house became home to many in need for a place to stay. The neighborhood stray cats knew his house well and would always come around for a snack! Alphonse always worked multiple jobs to provide for his family. No matter how long he worked that day, he would always come home with a smile on his face. That smile and dimples will be greatly missed. He was a true angel who walked this earth and his love will live on in his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. and 9:45 – 10:45 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco. Mass 11:00 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin.
In honor of Alphonse’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center.
