My sincere heartfelt condolences to Tony and Christopher and the family, When I began my teaching career at Monongahela Junior High in 1987, I remember Kathy , being so kind and friendly. She was a great inspiration to me as I witnessed her dedication to her students and her work. But even more importantly than that, was her love and devotion to her family, Tony and Christopher. She was always so concerned about Christopher and his well being and talked about him often. She loved them both dearly. Tony had a way of bringing a smile and laughter during our breaks in the teacher’s lounge when he’d reminisce about his antics during his Catholic school days. Thanks for brightening up my days, Tony. In the days ahead, please know that my prayers for you all will continue for God’s peace and comfort. Sincerely, Madeline Abraham

Dear Tony , Christopher and all those that loved Kathy. I am so sad to learn of Kathy's passing. Most of all I am saddened that she lost her fight with cancer. I am sure she fought hard to make sure she could be there for Tony and Christopher, the biggest loves of her life. Kathy was a terrific lady, so bubbly and positive. We started our teaching careers together in the fall of 1973 at Monongahela Junior High. It was a crazy time with 33 new teachers and a huge number of students. Those situations provided a special bond to a bunch of young educators as we helped each other learn and grow. She was an extremely dedicated teacher that loved her subject and had a huge heart for her students. After 19 years we were transferred to the high school where we continued on with our careers. I will always remember Kathy as that great young teacher and look forward to meeting her again in the great life everlasting. Rest in Peace dear friend. God Bless

When someone passes, it is said that heaven has gained an angel. This could not ring more true for Kathie. She was a true people pleaser…always putting others before herself. Kathie was a loving and devoted wife to Tony, loving mother and strong advocate for Chris, proud dog mom for Buddy, and a genuine friend to everyone who met her. She will be missed by many. Rest In Peace.
