“A family is a little world created by love.” – Unknown

This quote perfectly sums up the way we feel about our family atmosphere at Egizi Funeral Home. We remain a family-operated funeral home in every sense of the word, as we serve our neighbors in Washington Township.

Owner Charles V. Chiango, Jr. joined the Egizi team in 1985 when he was just 19 years old. After 32 years of faithful ownership and operation, Gary Egizi passed the baton to Charles in 2002. Today, Charles continues to build upon the amazing legacy began by Hugh and Gary, and Gary still works side-by-side with the whole team.

Families trust us to arrange every detail of their loved one’s funeral, burial, or cremation. We listen and we care, and our decades of professional experience helps us highlight each person’ unique personality at the funeral – and help you on the road to healing.

Our family takes this support role very seriously, as we understand firsthand how stressful, sad, and challenging it is to lose a loved one. There are many ways we come alongside the families we serve, and we’ve highlighted a few of them here:

Resources to Help you Heal

With strong ties to our community, Egizi Funeral Home has resources on grief support. Our website features the following on our Grief Services page:

  • Circle of Friends Newsletter
  • Interactive Grief Support

Our Guiding Grief Interactive Video will help you know you’re not alone. The video provides immediate support, guiding you through steps to help you find answers to many questions about grief and suggestions for your own healing or help with someone else’s healing. Gain an understanding and acceptance of how necessary the process is and know that you will get through it.

Annual Remembrance Program

Families who come to Egizi receive an invitation to our annual program conducted by one of our celebrants. At the end of each year before what can be a difficult holiday season, we host a gathering for all the families we have served to receive a message of hope and honor those who have been lost.

Family Check-in Service

We don’t believe our care for you should end after the service does. That’s why we will have a team member reach out to you in the weeks and months after the funeral to provide you with information regarding probate, estate planning, grief support materials, and other details.

From the moment you contact us, our Egizi family provides full care and attention so you can focus on what matters most in life: your own family. Reach out to us anytime with questions or to learn more about the support we offer.
