Yolanda Schlembach (nee Frattarola), born September 19, 1915 in Pittston, PA, passed peacefully from her earthly life to her everlasting life on December 13, 2016 at the age of 101 years.
Loving and beloved wife of Joseph Schlembach, daughter of Antonio and Mary Grace (Bonetti) Frattarola, sister of siblings Argentina Frattarola, Angela Guagenti, Filomena Poli, William Frattarola, Anthony Frattarola, Mary DiVenti, Peter Frattarola, Rose Ferrara, and Patrick Frattarola, all of whom predeceased her.
Loving and beloved mother of Dolores Sulpizio (Anthony), grandmother of Anthony Sulpizio (Karen), Lisa Bruno (Anthony), Michael Sulpizio (Lisa), and Gregory Sulpizio. Great grandmother of Joseph Sulpizio, Anthony Bruno (Kristen), and Andrea Bruno (Sean). Aunt and great aunt to scores of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Friend to many.
A lifelong devout Catholic, Yolanda lived in St. Monica Parish in South Philadelphia and was a parishioner at that parish from the time she was a toddler until she moved to Williamstown, NJ in the early 2000s. She and Joseph were married at St. Monica’s. When she moved to NJ, she became a parishioner at Our Lady of Peace Parish and remained so until her death.
Yolanda and Joe were wonderful people who always put others before themselves. Yolanda, a great cook, was never known to allow any male guest to leave her dinner table without eating too much.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, December 16th from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 32 Carroll Avenue, Williamstown, NJ 08094, followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA. Arrangements by Egizi Funeral Home in Turnersville, NJ. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com
