Wilma G. Goepel
With faith in God’s promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Wilma (Gracie) Goepel, who entered into the Lord’s care on January 2, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 12, 1939, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Wilma (Gracie) was the daughter of Agripina (Angie) Grana and Herbert Grana Sr. She was a devoted mother whose life was rooted in faith, family, and love. Her trust in God guided her through every season of life.
She was first married to William John Murphy, with whom she raised her three children. After his passing, she later married Robert Albert Goepel, who also preceded her in death. She is predeceased by her sister Alice Rossman and daughter-in-law Rhonda Murphy.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Robinson, William Murphy and (the late Rhonda) and Garrett Murphy; her grandchildren, Ryan (Erick), Dakota, Billy Rae, William, Olivia, Jennifer, and Kaleigh ( Fiancé Elias); her siblings, Herbert Grana (Carolyn), Jeanne Hynes (Bob Anderson), and Lynne Rauch (Paul) and six great-grandchildren Ryker, Breckon, Rustyn, Rylie, Grey, and Rhoni Rae.
She will be remembered fondly by many friends and family, especially her son-in-law, Mark Robinson, with whom she shared a close and loving relationship. Also, her dear childhood friend, Dolly, with whom she shared many lifelong memories. And finally, Bertha, who brought companionship and joy in her later years.
Grace’s life was deeply rooted in family, and she cherished her children above all. Independent and strong, her gracious personality shone in every interaction, always extending love and kindness to those around her. After raising her children, she enjoyed a successful career in real estate for many years, demonstrating her dedication and drive. She loved to travel and explore new places, and through the years, she cherished the ability to host Thanksgiving for the family and especially Christmas for her grandchildren, who have lasting memories of how she made it so special. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of love and pride.
Though she is deeply missed, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the love she leaves behind.
