William T. Copes, III, on July 3, 2016, of Washington Twp., formerly of Philadelphia. Age 61. Much loved husband of Ivy (nee Bennett). Loving father of Amanda E. Copes (Matthew Reilly) and William T. Copes, IV (Maria Dawson Copes). Son of William T. Copes and the late Catherine. Dear brother of Cathy Fuerneisen (Rick) and Eileen Arbri (Thomas). He is also survived by his nephew Bill Nord and several nephews and a niece.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganntown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral Service 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

My wife, Shannon, and I both would like to express our deepest condolences to the Copes family. Many people would never know how much of an impact copes had on us but the Speights family appreciated Copes. Copes was someone who helped me out a lot while working for the Philly school district. Unbeknownst to many, he was one of the handful of people I could trust for encouragement and advice on various matters at work. He not only encouraged me but he supported the day spa my wife and I owned. My mom remembers him for always being complimentary of our family and for trying to help out the building staff at T. M. Pierce when she worked there on the education side along with my cousin. We all are extremely saddened by his loss but happy we had the opportunity to know him. He will be missed but his memories forever cherished. - With our sympathy and prayers, The Speights family (Cecil and Shannon).
