He served in the army from 1968 to 1970. He attended Camden County College and obtained an associate’s degree, then attended Glassboro State College, where he spent time as a disc jockey on campus.
He worked for many years as a roofer. Following that he worked as a truck driver, delivering lumber and rock products. His last job before retiring was at AHEC in Camden, where he worked with the clients to help keep them safe and try to improve their lives. Since retiring he devoted his life to helping his mother.
Bill’s interests included a deep love of rock music, some of his favorites being Frank Zappa, Santana and the Allman Brothers, whose concerts he attended many times with his friends and also his sisters. He valued his collection of rock posters and books, and he enjoyed taking care of the many plants and trees he kept at his apartment.
He enjoyed going for bike rides and spending time with his nieces Bethie and Theresa, and being with and teasing his nephews Jimmy and Joey. He was always there for them and they will miss him dearly.
