Bill served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He worked as a nuclear engineer for PSE&G for 37 years, working at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant when he retired in 1987. Bill loved to go sailing and had many boats over the years, docking in Rock Hall, Maryland, one of the favorite places where he and his late wife, Esther, spent most summers sailing the Chesapeake Bay. They also enjoyed traveling and visited many places around the world. He enjoyed the pond he built in his back yard and loved flowers. Bill loved animals, especially dogs and had many pets, his last being Willie, a Schnauzer, who passed away just a month ago. With his love of dogs, he often went to the dog park in Washington Township where he met his companion, Ruth. Bill and Ruth shared their love of dogs, going out to dinner and spending time with family and friends.
