On August 5, 2009, of Washington Twp., at home surrounded by his family. Age 87. Beloved husband of Sarah Catherine nee Manning. Devoted father of Luann Ziegler Gary and Mona Griffith Jack. Loving grandfather of William Pam, David and Catherine Ziegler, Jennifer Tony Corly and Eileen Joseph Marusch. Proud great-grandfather of Zachary, Matthew, Ethan, Amanda and Andrew. Predeceased by his sister Adelaide and parents William and Adelaide nee Mason Ziehler.

William was born in Merchantville and lived in Pennsauken with his wife and daughters for 34 years. He has been a resident of Turnersville for the past 32 years. He proudly served during WWII in the 10th Army Air Corp. signal corp. during the Aleutian Island Campaign. William and his wife were avid ballroom dancers, and he enjoyed playing bridge at the Washington Twp. Senior Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation Saturday 9:00 – 10:00am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ 08012. Memorial Service 10:00am at the funeral home. Entombment is at Gloucester County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
