77, passed away peacefully at his home on July 26, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Walt, born in Philadelphia on June1, 1934 was a proud alumnus of Most Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and West Catholic High School. In 1952 his Burr’s team won the Inter-League Basketball Championship. He was inducted into the West Catholic High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He worked as an instrument engineer with Catalytic, Arco Chemical and Raytheon. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling, fishing trips and surf fishing in Sea Isle City, NJ. He is predeceased by his wife Kathryn nee Ellis and is survived by his loving sister Mary Flynn, devoted children Rosemarie Maxwell, Marianne Ostrow Curt, Luke Maxwell Maryann, Matt Maxwell, Nancy McLaughlin Mike, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday morning 8 to 10am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Agnes Church Chapel, 701 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
