Walter H. Ewan III, on January 12, 2016, of Blackwood. Age 56. Beloved son of Walter H. Ewan, Jr. and the late Anita E. (nee Schade). Loving brother and best friend of Donna Stortini (Ronald) and the late Darrin K. Ewan. Dear uncle of Stacie, Julie and Amy.
Walt worked for the Black Horse Pike Regional School District, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral Service 1:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walt’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Camden County Chapter, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com

I’m really sorry for your losses, Donna and family. I remember all the fun Walt, Darren, and I had in the crick.
Walt used to drive a bunch of us to school in his 1969 Chevelle 396. Quite the status upgrade for a highland sophomore to arrive at school with one of the coolest seniors in such a powerful car.
I will be in Blackwood in may 2023 helping my brother Ed, I look forward to seeing the old neighborhood again.

Such a shame I've only spoken with him a few times while at school there and he was always so nice. He's one of the reason I fell in love with corvettes. Used to look at his car everyday. I'll never forget when he got rid of it and I asked him why he responded "you ever try and put golf clubs In a corvette?" Rip

My deepest condolences to the Ewan family. When I started working at Highland Walt Sr. was working there, his son Walt started a few years later. There was nothing to small or big that young Walt would not do for you. We worked together for 30 some years and it was always a pleasure to see his smile no matter what. We have and will continue to miss him very much but we know he is better off with out all the pain and sickness. Take comfort that he is now with the Lord. Gloria Ellinger-Warner

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the passing of Walt. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have many good memories of Walt and loved playing golf with him. I think I last saw him at the Valley Brook Country club and number of years after a round with my brother Dave and my nephew Ben. He was still working at the High School and I met him at the bar. He was heading home to cook for his dad. He was a great friend and a kind person who always laughed at our jokes. He was a part of our most amazing journeys. My childhood is full of memories of Walt and I hope that time will heal the hurt you feel. He is with his mom and brother and I am sure watching over you with a smile. Stay healthy,. Walt, was my brother's best friend. He hung out with all my brothers. He was a great guy. He was very generous, he would literally give you the shirt off his back. Some of my fondest memories were when we would play kick the can/jail break in his backyard, with Darrin, Matt, and my brothers. He was an integral part of my childhood.
