Walter B. Grosset, Jr.
On September 11, 2024, of Washington Twp. Age 90. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Barresi). Devoted father of Brian Grosset (Aaron Goldschmidt), Mark Grosset (Lisa), and Darrin Grosset. Loving grandfather of Mason and Max. Cherished son of the late Walter B. Grosset, Sr., and Catherine (nee Emerson). Dear brother of the late Sarah Skill, Margaret Carella, Helen Orsini, and Allan Grosset.
Walter was raised in Gloucester, NJ and graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School. He enlisted in the Army and served 3 years during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home he started his career at Acme supermarket and worked the next 40 years as a meat cutter/manager. He married his loving wife Marie in 1962 and just recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Once retired he enjoyed most of his time at home with family. He loved watching sports on TV, fishing, spending time with his dog Alex and taking trips to Atlantic City. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 am. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
In honor of Walter’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations be made to Veterans Helping Veterans, P.O. Box 337, Woodbury, NJ 08096.
