Aunt Viv cared for me many times at an early age, even through high school. Over the past couple of days I wrote down what I wanted to say at her service, but I quickly realized how my voice would be broken by tears. Taking in and caring for someone who is not your own is the most selfless act anyone can do. She gave me so much love and caring. One of my early memories is sitting on the steps and playing school with the lunch box she bought for me. She and Uncle Joe provided such a wonderful place for me at that time. She convinced me every thing would be ok and it did turn out that way with her care. Well, the first day of school, she walked me to the corner to catch the bus. I was excited to get on, until I sat down and looked out the window at her waving at me. I started to cry wanting to stay with her. She was just like my 2nd mom. So many memories of her love. She would discipline me when I messed up. More so letting me know she was dissappointed in my actions, and she always forgave me. So many things that I learned from her actions I use today to try to be a good dad to my 2 sons. While they are now grown into men, I believe Aunt Vivs values will carry on with not only them, but everyone that knew her. Over the past couple of days my brother John and I were talking about how wonderful Aunt Viv was. And, if there is a heaven like we believe, Aunt Viv is definately there. I know everyone that knows her feels the same. This shows how many lives that she has affected in a positve way, and how blessed everyone has been to know her. Her key to longevity was ice cream, chocolates and being a loyal Phillies fan. But there is nothing that can be stopped once heaven realizes that it was missing an angel. With our love, Jim, Diane, Kris and Ryan
