Devoted mother of Mary Jane Baker (Robert), Joseph Appaluccio, John Appaluccio (Susan), and Peter Appaluccio (Jennifer). Loving grandmother of Matthew, Robert, Jonathan, Katherine, Joseph, Frank, John, Elizabeth, and Anthony. Proud great-grandmother of Riley, Caden, Weston, Lacey, and Savannah. Dear sister of the late David, Albert, and Robert Berghorn. Loved by many nieces and nephews.

Family meant everything to Viola. She was the glue that kept everyone together.

Viola’s life will be honored and remembered privately by her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Viola’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dearest Maryjane, Bob and Family, We know that nothing ever fills the void that is created by the loss of someone that we have loved so very dearly; and we know, at the same time, that the love that was shared is never diminished by the physical separation of death. We are forever changed and enriched by that love. But though I know that the many wonderful ways in which your mom/grandmom/great grandmom touched you and others do not die with her - that they live on in you forever - I also know that you mourn the physical loss of her deeply. Now and always, may you hold the peace, as well as the pain of your loss as tenderly as Viola is now being held in the loving arms of our Creator.
