Victoria Elizabeth Whittaker was born on May 6, 1965 in California. She passed from this earthly realm aged 56 on August 12, 2021, in New Jersey.
Victoria was an endlessly curious adventurer. Her main pursuit was seeking the meaning behind, and connections between, all things. She was also a creator—a novelist, photographer, and seamstress among many other things. She consumed words the way others breathe air. No artistic endeavor was out of her reach. The wheels of her mind never stopped turning.
Victoria loved music, cats, films, baseball and futbol, mythology, cold autumn nights, and travel—especially to California, which she always thought of as home.
She accumulated friends like souvenirs—shiny spirits selected from different aspects of her life and forever treasured.
They became her family after hers had passed on.
Predeceased by her parents, Norma and Joseph Whittaker, and her older brother, Joseph, she is survived by her cousin, Jason; her collection of friends; and her beloved cat Wrigley.
