Victoria D’Amico (nee Sich) On July, 13, 2015 of Pitman, NJ Age 90. Wife of the late Joseph. Loving Aunt of Carmen, James, Michael, Barbara, Susan and the late George. Dear sister of the late Catherine, Mary, Anne, and Peter.
Victoria was a “woman of the 90’s” way before that phrase became popular. She worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard during the war, and was a supervisor at the IRS during the 60’s.
Vicki made many “airplane trips” to Atlanta, GA as part of her job. This type of job was basically unheard of for a woman in 1960.
Afterwards, she and her husband, Joe, lived in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. After Joe passed away, she and her sister, Anne lived together in an apartment in Willow Grove, PA. Together they started an antique business, specializing in pottery and estate jewels.
After Anne passed away, Vicki moved to a more modest apartment. Unfortunately, this building flooded out and she lost everything her car, her apartment, pictures etc. But she survived this catastrophe!
She eventually moved to Pitman, NJ, where she lived independently, until 2008. At which time, early signs of Alzheimers started to creep into her life. When it was determined that she could no longer live alone, she entered a nursing home where she lived until her demise.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday 9:00 – 10:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 10:00 am. Interment St. Dominic’s Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Victoria’s memory to the American Red Cross, 3 Parke Place Blvd., Sewell, NJ 08080. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com
