(nee Leone), on January 9, 2025, of Washington Twp. Age 70. Beloved wife of James. Devoted mother of Stephanie Kupiec (David), and Mark Capone (Jillian), Matthew Capone. Loving grandmother of Kyley, Gabriel, Louka, and Grace. Dear sister of Lisa Cicchini.

Valerie adored working with little children as a teacher’s aide here in Washington Twp. She loved music, dancing, being out with her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all she enjoyed warm summer days at the Jersey shore.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. and Tuesday 10:15 – 11:15 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.

Jim, Stephanie, Mark, Matt we cannot tell you all how sorry we are about Val. I know all of you loved her so very much and there’s nothing anyone can say to ease your pain. Remember to keep your beautiful memories of her close to your heart as they will help you heal. Take comfort in the fact that she was loved by so many people and her life had meaning. May she rest in peace with the angels in heaven.

Nothing about the loss of Val’s beautiful soul is easy, and it just hurts. I wish I knew the perfect thing to say or do to make it all better, but I know those words don’t exist. I have found memories of working with Val at Whitman School. Sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

Valerie was my cousin and Godmother. And even though we're 15 years apart we were extremely close. From sleepovers at her PA house to trips with them to help baby sit. Then onto our summer rental in O.C. and countless movie nights. We had so much fun. And for some reason she never aged. She will deeply be missed.

Jim, Roger and I extend our sincere condolences to you and the family. We will miss her dearly, cherish and keep close to our hearts the great memories we have from our 40+ years of friendship. Our summers at the shore will never be the same but we will always have Val in spirit as our "deputy of love".
