I did not know Todd, but I was among the hikers that came across him in distress and did everything we could to help him. We were deeply saddened by his passing and offer our sincerest condolences to his friends and family for their sudden loss. Though he had help from numerous nurses and doctors that happened to be hiking the same trail, no one in our group has medical training. May it be of some consolation that Todd's untimely passing has inspired us to seek wilderness rescue training so we may better help others in the future should we have to.

My heart is heavy and it’s so hard to think someone as full of life is gone. I had the pleasure of working with Todd and can say how he loved his family and 4 legged son. I hope the memories of his love and unselfish deeds bring you comfort in the days ahead. Kirk O’Connell

Todd, You left an ever-lasting, profound and uplifting impression on everyone around you and your smile, presence, and friendship are deeply mourned by many heavy hearts as they try to understand and process your abrupt and unfair passing. Your zest for life and your loving outreach of support to the people around you can not go unmentioned - you were an inspiration and role model to many, and you will continue to be loved and celebrated until the end of time. I wasn’t lucky enough to know you that long, but I truly enjoyed being in your presence and had a great time- every time- with you from the moment I met you and I’m sure that would have continued. Your time was cut too short with this unfair ending, and now the world is a lot less fortunate without you here in it. Im so glad that the boys were so fortunate to have had such an amazing true constant friendship in their lives, they will carry you in their hearts forever. You made such a strong impact on them, they adore you more than words can explain, and their broken hearts won’t heal until they hear you telling them to “get a grip” again ; ) We can only hope to see you again in the after-life party and continue the good times. Until we meet again Todd, Rest In Peace. My sincerest condolences to all of his loved ones during this time. The world lost a legendary human being this week.

Forever Remembered, Forever Missed How do I begin to say good-bye to someone who had such a presence in my life and the life of my family? You all always accepted us with an open heart and open arms. When Taylor was born, you and she used to hang out together at our pool party’s. She was born adoring you and never stopped. You were such a part of her life, you were named as her god-father. She is so happy you came to her wedding last year and were part of her special day. You share a birthday with Morgan. As August 4th approached you kept saying that was the day she would arrive and you were right! Every August 4th we think of you and will do so with a heavy heart again this year. When Carl became sick, I turned to you and throughout the rest of his life. You got us through. You brought the kids to the hospital to see their father for the last time. You were the one I called to meet me at the hospital when I got the call to come there. You sat with me after he passed and took me home where together we broke the news of his death to Ashley, Taylor and Morgan. You baby-sat the children when I had to be somewhere for a school event. You went with me to Taylor’s basketball games, so I wouldn’t be alone. Thank you. Todd touched everyone he knew. He is one of the most generous and kind hearted people I have ever been honored to know. We will always have the beautiful memories of our time together and they will live on in my heart and in the hearts of the many others that knew him. With heartfelt condolences to his entire family and many friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I had the utmost pleasure to work with Todd for the last two plus years. He taught me so many wonderful ways to go about my job and he was a delight when I would bump into him every so often at the office. His was a positive and powerful source of inspiration. I am so thankful that he came into my life and feel a sharp pain knowing that he will not be there to pick up the phone so I can hear his voice. I will miss him and hope that your pain will be diminished by the grace of God and know that he will be here with us in our hearts. Peace be with you. Sallie

My condolences to the family. I can only imagine how you are hurting now and how deep your sorrow must be as you think of Todd with love and respect. I want you to know how sorry I am for your loss. Through this sad time and the long days ahead, please remember God's promise to reunite us with our dead loved ones. His word assures us at John 5:28, 29: "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Revelation 21:3, 4 shows that this happy reunion will take place right here on the earth at a time when sickness "and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." May this heartwarming promise give you comfort and strength at this difficult time.
