On December 20, 2009, of Glassboro. Formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 77. Tom is survived by his wife Elaine nee Reitano of 50 years. He is the loving father of Thomas Palagruto and his wife Anne of Philadelphia, Kathy Alburger and her husband Chris of Washington Twp., and Vincent Palagruto of Glassboro. He was the proud pop-pop of 5 grandchildren, Thomas, Peter and Andrew Palagruto, and Alex and Katie Alburger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tom will be sadly missed by his family. Tom enjoyed his wife’s cooking, hanging out in South Philadelphia and playing his numbers. He was known to many as “Mr. P.”

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 8:00 – 10:00am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Glassboro. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

My deepest condolences to the entire Palagruto family. My prayers are with you all.

For years and years, I would run into Mr. P, at Broad and Synder. I remember drinking coffee with him at McDonalds and would sit with him and converse about any and everything, both during my childhood and as an adult. He always had a smile and was a great inspiration and one of my fondest memories of that area. He will missed and remembered every time I pass that way.
