Thomas served in the U.S Navy where he traveled all over the world. After he was out of the navy, he started working at CBS Records located in Pitman, NJ, in the mailroom. He was employed with CBS Records/Columbia Records/Sony for over 42 years. His hard work and high work ethic helped him move up through the ranks to executive management within the company. He worked hard to provide for his family up until his retirement in 2002. He loved his job and he loved working in the music industry. After his retirement he spent his time traveling with his family and with his former Sony buddies on golf excursions to Amelia Island. He was the first person to tell you he wasn’t a great golfer but he loved the sport. He also was an avid baseball fan. Whether it was watching the Phillies play on TV surrounded by his family or watching his grandson play baseball, he enjoyed every moment of the game.
Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served on the Patient Advocate Board for Kennedy Health Systems in Washington Township as well as on the board for Newfield Bank. The most important thing to Thomas was his family. He cherished the time that he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a selfless, kind man who was always there to lend his helping hand. Anyone who was blessed enough to interact with Tom loved him and his contagious laugh. He was the patriarch of his family. and will be deeply missed.
