On June 7, 2025, of Washington Twp. Age 88. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Mazloom). Devoted father of Lisa O’Mara (Michael), Thomas Gober (Christine), James Gober (Kimberly), Gregory Gober, and Cynthia Gober. Loving grandfather of Thomas M. (Keli), Julia (Connor), Angela (Christopher), James “J.J.”, and Nicholas. Proud great-grandfather of Jackson and Thomas J. Dear brother of the late Anna Postick, Joseph Gober, Katherine Chelak, Sophie Borrell, Josephine Romanko, Frank Gober, Paul Gober, and Rose Turnowchyk. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Survived by long- time family friend Stephanie Garrison.
Jim was a devoted husband and a dedicated caregiver to his beloved wife Marion. His faith was central to his life. As one of the founders of Perpetual Adoration at Saints Peter and Paul, he faithfully participated each week for over 30 years. He enjoyed coaching youth basketball in Washington Township and was a fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his viewing Monday, June 16th 10:15 – 11:45 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM. Interment Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
