Tom was a retired Captain of the Haddon Twp. Police Department.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday 12:00 pm -1:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 1:30 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tom’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com

Dearest Nancy and Michael, Mike and I just read the heart breaking news of Tom this morning. We are so saddened, he truly was such a kind and caring man. We enjoyed seeing and talking with him in the summers at Tommy's store. It was so obvious that he and Nancy always put their family first. Wether helping Tommy in his stores or helping you Michael with those beautiful girls. He will be sorely missed. I know he is in heaven now, helping Tommy with one of his projects ! I have been blessed beyond words to have such a wonderful dad. Anyone that knows him and my family knows exactly what I'm saying. He made life fun for the family and provided us with cherished memories to last a lifetime. I am so thankful that he was able to spend his time here with us creating fond memories for mom, Helena, Christina and myself. To say that he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters is an understatement. Each family trip left a lasting impression, whether a trip to the Poconos with my mom and Tommy, or visiting Disney or Hershey with Helena and Christina, he always made the journey a happy memory. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him was richer for the experience. He always put others first, was generous beyond compare and always had a positive outlook. Some of my fondest memories were at Christmas time when we all would gather at the dinner table at mom and dad's house telling funny stories from the past. I would love watching him sit in the yard with Clyde while endlessly chatting about golf. I could write a book about how great he made life for me and my family. I know that he now at peace and enjoying his reward with Tommy. And I have no doubts that he is looking down upon mom and the girls and I right now and will be watching out for our well-being. Even though he is not physically here, I am certain he is and always will be with the family that he loved so much. There is no way to describe my feelings for him and what he has meant to me and the girls. He will be missed beyond words.

Dear Nancy,Michael, and family, so sorry to read about Tom passing, in the Courier. We used to have so much fun when we all used to work at Colonial Realty across from the Haddon Twnshp Police Station.for Joe Bascio. Joe and myself have our License with Linda Rohrer:s office in Haddon Township. However Joe goes in a lot compared to me. My son is not well. Take care, Love Janet

We are very sorry that we couldn't be there to help remember and celebrate Uncle Tommy's life. I remember how he always looked after Grandmom. I know he was very proud of the boys and family was important. I will always remember being a flower girl in his and Aunt Nancy's wedding. We shared holidays together which was always special. To say that my grandfather is a saint would be the understatement of the century. He honestly was the kindest person I have ever met and he will be deeply missed. Though he is gone he left behind years of priceless memories that I will never forget. He made the lives of everyone who ever met him something truly special. He will live on forever in the hearts of his close friends and family. We will never forget anything that he has done for us or any of the many great jokes he told. I am truly blessed to have gotten the honor of being his grand daughter and spending 17 years with him. I hope that one day I will be able to give my children and my grandchildren a life full of memories that is as good as the one he gave to my father, my sister, and me. We all love you very much and I look forward to the day I meet you, Uncle Tom, and Cider in heaven <3 Until that day comes rest in peace grandpa we love you more then words could possibly say <3

Thank you, Kim, for your thoughts and prayers. I know that he had many wonderful times spent at Hartford Arms and Woodlynne. I remember the stories well and it always brought a smile to dad's face when he recounted them.

To the family I express my sincere condolences. Soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (Jesus) and come out." What a wonderful time that will be! (John 5:28,29)

Tommy was a truly amazing person. I was very blessed to have him in my life and to be able to call him my uncle. I loved him very much and he will always have a special place in my heart. Although I haven't seen him in years, the last time I saw him was in Somers Point and I had to do a double-take and he looked at me as said "Yep, it's me".we reminisced and chatted for a few minutes and it felt like it was just yesterday.....he was a warm hearted person and a genuine person. Truly a wonderful brother - I couldn't asked for more in growing up with Tommy as my big brother...An incredible person in every sense... Caring beyond words and a true friend whom would literally give you the shirt off his back...Creative and fun - He had a laugh that always uplifted anyone that heard it. I remember Tom at the Phillies game, with the Trump Plaza gang, buying hot dogs for everyone in our group. Tommy was joking, laughing, and telling stories about the good old days. He could always tell a good story and make you laugh. Tom has an infectious smile and easy going nature about him. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. God bless Tommy and his family.

Mr. and Mrs. Boody I am very saddened to hear of Tom’s passing away. I worked for Tom when he had Dollar Does It in Somers Point. He, Eric and Lily not only gave me my first job but they took a chance on hiring me when most other companies wouldn’t. I always be grateful to him for that. Even almost 10 years later, I still speak very highly of him (I even mentioned him today in a conversation and returned home to find out.) His love for baseball rubbed off on me, he’d love to pick on me because I hated the Eagles and loved Country music (He threatened to fire me every time I was lucky enough to get someone to switch the station and then he’d shake his head and tell me to get my butt back to work? Every time, he’d say, Let me tell you a story, I knew I’d be laughing. It was also really cool to hear about the other stores and how he started out. Working for him gave me a lot of good memories to look back on, but more importantly he taught me how to treat a customer and these are things that I keep in mind today. He’s a man I learned a lot from and will both miss and never forget.

Tommy and I worked together at Trump Plaza. We even dated for a while. I used to call him Peter Pan. We had a lot of good times and many laughs throughout the years. I work at the Taj Mahal Casino where Tommy loved to play poker. I always looked forward to our chats about favorite TV shows and reminiscing about our past. Tommy had a smile that could light up a room. He will be greatly missed and I will always have a special place in my heart for him.

To the Boody family, I am so heart broken to hear about Tom, he was such a great boss. He was my first boss and a great business owner, the store has never been the same without him. He was very smart, who else would trust a 15 year old run the store, open and close it? And kick my stalkers out. He protected me and knew who to trust, I will never forget him. He made me very responsible and taught me a lot, I carry that leadership everywhere I go. He was always smiling and making his employees laugh. So many memories from my first job, he was a pleasure to be around, always cracking jokes. I always asked about him when I ran into Lilly or anyone else from the store. They were my second family. Over the past 6 and 1/2 years, I have had many wonderful moments and times with Tommy....I loved him dearly and always will. We certainly had our ups and downs, but deep inside, knew we loved each other and had to be together. The news of Tom's passing was a shock to me as it was to us all. It was a reminder to for me that life is incredibly short and to cherish those around us. Thanks Tom for the great memories. You are missed beyond words.

I can't believe this is happening. Although I haven't seem Tom in many years this is something you never expect and am jolted to the core. Through many years at Trump Plaza I knew Tom to be a happy, energetic and positive person who always had a smile on his face. Through the many years of golfing and playing softball together, we had grown to be good friends. I will miss him dearly, think of him often and I pray for his family.
