My heart just aches knowing I will never see Aunt Theresa again. I know she is with the angels now and resting in God’s arms. She was such an amazing person and she loved her family so much. I met Aunt Theresa some years ago. ( She is my soul aunt through her niece, Rita Cotey ). She was my family, too. She was looking for a Scrabble partner and I began playing the game with her every week for the last 12 years. She was an absolute whiz. I learned so much from her, not only about the game but also about life. She would always give great advice and she was very strong in her faith. She prayed every day and would say that God is there all the time. I already believed that but she had an aura of love surrounding her that made her so special and strong. I admired her and she truly was such an inspiration to me . I will always feel Aunt Theresa around me, even though her physical being is gone. I know we are attached spiritually forever! I love you, Aunt Theresa, and I thank you for being such a wonderful gift in my life forever!

Theresa was a beautiful and strong woman. I never had a grandmother of my own, so in my teen years, I was envious of the bond she shared with my best friend, Michele. She was always welcoming and allowed me to share her immaculate bathroom during sleepovers. She was so generous with her time and love. I was always grateful to her for befriending my mother when my father passed. Theresa introduced her to her seniors’ group, which led to many new activities and friends. She helped my mom develop new hobbies and an interest in travel that she otherwise would not have. .God bless her. A quote from Mother Teresa seems fitting for this ‘Grandmother Theresa’ as well… “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come without leaving happier.” ‘Grandmother Theresa’, thank you, you will be missed.

Aunt Theresa was always praying for everyone and made me feel so blessed and loved. She always recommended a glass of red wine at night for my health. She was good cook and included hot peppers as another suggestion for my health. I will miss her dearly, but know she is celebrating wit her family up in heaven.
